About the editor behind The Book Foundry

I’m Lauren Donovan, a professional book hoarder from Delaware. My love for the written word carried me through starting my high school’s first Literary Magazine and further on to a literature-and-editing-heavy English program at the University of Delaware. After earning my degree in 2007, I made my living designing and project managing solar power arrays and writing content for a small company. But I never abandoned my book collection—up to 1,200 in the home library at my last count!—or my love for editing great novels. I took the leap to follow that love into creating The Book Foundry.

My passion is surrounding my world with literary analysis, collecting words and phrases that tickle our language fancy, and helping writers produce books that will be adored by readers for lifetimes to come.

The Book Foundry has been my life’s dream, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.
